| Arica, known also as the 'city of eternal spring', is located in the extreme north of Chile. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west, Peru to the north and to the East by the Lauca National Park, an obligatory through-point on the way to Bolivia.

LAND ACCESS
By road, access is from the north and south along the International Panamericana Highway from the Peruvian city of Tacna and the Chilean province of Iquique respectively. From the east, access is via Route 11, which traverses the province of Parinacota on its way from La Paz, Bolivia.

Vessels arriving to Arica use Port Carlos Ibañez del Campo, which receives an average of 11 cruise ships per year, carrying tourists from all around the world.
AERIAL ACCESS
The Chacalluta International Airport, located north of the city, receives regular flights from several airlines.
