Climate
Santiago’s climate is Mediterranean and has four clearly defined seasons. Spring, spanning from September to November has mild temperatures that contribute to the blossoming and new growth of plants and trees. Summer, from December to February has an average temperature of 22ºC (72ºF). Daytime highs can surpass 30ºC (86ºF) yet the evenings remain cooler.
Along the coast and in the mountains the differences in temperature can be more notable. Autumn lasts from March to May with gradually declining temperatures.
Winter has morning lows in the order of 0ºC (32ºF) with an average around 11ºC (52ºF) or slightly higher on sunny days

Panamericana Hotel – Providencia is located in the Metropolitan Region within the city of Santiago, the nation’s capital and cultural & economic center. Santiago lies in a spectacular valley at the base of some of the highest peaks in the Andes Mountain Range. Safe and modern, it has excellent restaurants, hotels, cultural events and shopping centers.
Within a short driving distance you can find ski resorts, national parks, colonial haciendas, wineries and the coastal city of Viña del Mar, all destinations that can easily be explored on day trips. |
